Embarking on the Emerald Princess for a New England cruise was a dream come true. From the moment I stepped aboard, I was enveloped in a world of luxury and excitement. The ship's elegance and impeccable service set the stage for an unforgettable journey.

Our first stop was Newport, Rhode Island, a place steeped in Gilded Age history. We explored the opulent mansions, marveling at their grandeur and the stories they held.

Bar Harbor, Maine, offered a complete change of scenery. The rugged beauty of Acadia National Park left us in awe. Hiking along the trails and witnessing the stunning vistas was a true highlight.

Boston, a city teeming with history, was next. We walked the Freedom Trail, visited the USS Constitution, and indulged in the freshest seafood at the Quincy Market.

St. John in New Brunswick, Canada, was a charming surprise. The Bay of Fundy's massive tides and the Reversing Falls left us marveling at nature's wonders.

Halifax, Nova Scotia, was the perfect end to our journey. We explored the Maritime Museum, enjoyed a lobster feast, and strolled along the waterfront.

Each day brought new adventures, and the evenings were filled with delicious dining and top-notch entertainment on the ship. The Emerald Princess truly made our New England cruise a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It's a voyage I'll cherish forever.

I recently had the chance to embark on an Alaskan voyage with Holland America. Holland America Line has been offering Alaskan cruises longer than any other cruise Line, and it lived up to its reputation! The culinary experience on board Holland America was truly exceptional, and our evenings were filled with laughter and song at the lively dueling piano bar.

The natural beauty of Alaska, which we could admire from our Balcony Cabin, it was absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend opting for a Balcony Cabin when cruising Alaska; I think it's a must on this cruise!

If you opt for an Alaskan cruise with Holland America, be sure to take advantage of the various shore excursions available. These include exhilarating activities like glacier hikes, The White pass railroad, exploring cute historic Alaskan towns, and whale watching. These excursions made our journey an unforgettable way to immerse ourselves in the wonders of the Last Frontier./p>

I recently had the opportunity to go to Costa Rica. We spent 6 glorious nights around the country. We landed in San Jose, then took a small plane to our first resort in Santa Teresa. We spent 2 nights in Nantipa Resort. This resort was our absolute favorite! Every room has its own building with your own private pool, set in the rainforest, but this resort is also right on the beach. There is one restaurant here with amazing food and service, and the beach was breathtakingly beautiful!

After 2 nights, we travelled to the Arenal Volcano area near La Fortuna and stayed in Tabacon Resort for another 2 nights. This is a beautiful area and there are hot springs everywhere! In fact, for the hot water, this resort uses the natural hot springs to heat up the water. This resort is very environmentally friendly. We went ziplining while we were here, which was amazing! We did a private tour through Jacamar Tours. It rained while we were on this tour, which was really cool, ziplining in the rainforest while it’s raining!

After this, we travelled to San Jose and stayed in Hotel Presidente, right in the central part of the city. The cool thing about this area is that San Jose has a pedestrian boulevard (1 block away from our hotel) where there are lots of shops and food on this street. We went here a lot for the 2 nights we spent here.

After 2 nights in San Jose, we came home. Costa Rica is a beautiful place and is a destination I will definitely return to, many times!

Give me a call and I will take care of the airfare, transfers, and more for your next trip to Costa Rica or wherever you're planning to travel in 2024 and beyond!

Imagine a vacation where you do the following: unpack once; have amazing scenery constantly passing by; and experience quaint villages, beautiful scenery, and amazing cities. Imagine gliding through the incredible Rhine River Valley and gazing at the 42 castles along the way or the spectacular Wachau Valley on the Danube with its castles, vineyards, and towns, all while you enjoy being continually pampered—oh and don’t forget the incredible food. If this is the kind of vacation you would like to take, you need to sign up for a river cruise.

River cruising is a wonderful way to see the heart of multiple countries while relaxing and watching it all go by! The most popular river cruise is a 15-day cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest passing through The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary on the Rhine, Main, and Danube Rivers. If you don’t have that much time, there are also great ships cruising Europe for 7 days on the Rhine, Danube, Rhone, Douro, and Seine Rivers.

If you are looking for more adventure, try a river cruise on the Nile or the Chobe in Africa or the Mekong in Vietnam. Closer to home, enjoy the Mississippi or Columbia rivers. Again, you will enjoy beautiful ships and incredible staff while viewing unforgettable sites.

On most river cruises, the wonderful excursions are included in the cost of the cruise. Experience walking through a town in France and stopping at a chocolate store that offers free samples! Or hike up to the ruins of Durnstein Castle where Richard the Lionheart was held captive. Explore little villages or amazing cities like Vienna, Cologne, Lyon, and more. You can even bicycle along the rivers if you choose. I love the fact that there are only 150 to 200 people on the river cruise ships so there are no crowds and no lines. River cruising gives you the experience of a lifetime and as I said, you only unpack once.

Morris Columbus has many river cruises to offer you. However, they are already filling up quickly for 2024 and even 2025. Join Morris Columbus Travel in August of 2024—we have chartered a ship for our group sailing on the spectacular Rhine River from Amsterdam to Basel, Switzerland!

River Cruising is a great way to travel, and you will add hundreds of photos to your collection! Give your local Morris Columbus travel advisor a call and we will take care of the airfare, transfers, river cruise, and more
