Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority

Quick Info

Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority

Las Vegas Convention and Visitors AuthorityWe are a public agency created to drive tourism to the region and enhance the marketing, sales and advertising efforts of our resort and industry partners.

Unlike other destination marketing organizations, we are a government agency, established by state law, funded by a county room tax and governed by an autonomous board of directors. We’re also the only tourism authority in the United States to own and operate a convention center.

LVCVA’s board of directors serves on behalf of a broad cross-section of stakeholders within the tourism industry and includes 14 members representing Clark County, incorporated cities within the county as well as tourism, hospitality and entertainment industry leaders.

Our executive team defines the long-term strategy and directs the day-to-day marketing efforts and operations of the LVCVA, including the Las Vegas Convention Center.
