I recently had the opportunity to sail on the beautiful Crystal Symphony, one of the two Crystal Cruise Line vessels. Crystal Cruise Lines has consistently won readers choice award with Condé Nast for the past 25 years and Worlds Best by Travel and Leisure for 23 years. With all these accolades I was eager to experience Crystal for myself.
First, we noticed the check in process was incredibly easy and painless. No lines, just a seat on a couch in the reception area where they looked at your documents and took your luggage while offering you something to drink.
From there were pampered by incredible service, wonderful food, relaxing cabin and a ship with endless possibility of entertainment, enrichment classes and relaxing areas.
From the moment we arrived on the ship the staff was dedicated to anticipating our every needs. Staff from cabin stewards, waiters and pool attendants went out their way to learn our names, favorite beverages, allergies and more.
The dining choices were amazing. They had 4 specialty restaurants and one main dining venue. You could dine at one of each specialty restaurants during your cruise. Nobu’s Umi Uma sushi restaurant was our favorite, follow by a close second Prego, the Italian venue. The other two Silk (Chinese) and Churracsaria (Brazilian Steakhouse) were fabulous as well.
The cabins were spacious with larger bathroom. We appreciated the two sinks and full bathtub. No more hitting your elbows as you try to maneuver in the shower. The beds and linens were top quality. Also the cabins were very soundproof. We didn’t hear our next door neighbors, doors slamming or other guests talking as they walked down the hall.
The entertainment choices were varied. You could hear Broadway caliber entertainment one night, enjoy jazz in a club or hear a comedy routine all with two start times to accommodate dining schedules.
Crystal Cruise Lines gave us such an incredible experience I am not surprised at their many awards and I am looking forward to recommending them to my clients.
